Easy Risers are a product designed to assist anyone who has a difficult time rising from the seated position. Quite simply, they are a series of four cone-shaped hardened plastic units that are placed under the legs of any existing furniture to change the alignment of the chair allowing a person to rise more easily. The set contains two 5" cones, which are placed under the back legs of a chair, and two 3" cones for under the front legs, along with optional hardware for securing them to the chair legs. The simple adjustment in the angle of the chair not only enables a person to rise easier, but it encourages them to continue using their own muscles for this movement.

Easy Risers were designed by Ray Martin, who, after watching his father (who suffered from arthritis) struggle or ask for assistance in order to get up from his chair, set about to try to provide some relief for him. He began by using a series of wooden blocks, gradually increasing or adjusting their height until he arrived at the perfect solution - 5" rise at the back of the chair and 3" at the front. When he saw the delight on his father's face as he re-claimed his sense of self-reliance he agreed to build the same units for his father's friend. It was at this point that he began to wonder how he could help others who were also having difficulty. But, the wooden blocks were cumbersome, difficult to clean and time-consuming to create so he started looking for a better way - Easy Risers was born!

Easy Risers were originally designed to assist people who suffer from Arthritis. However, as the public became more aware of our product, the uses expanded to include people with other mobility-challenged conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's and late-term pregnancy. In addition to the above, other suggestions included:
